COVER REVEAL Wickedly Dangerous!

I never do two posts in one day, but I finally got the okay to post the cover for the first Baba Yaga book, WICKEDLY DANGEROUS, and I just couldn't wait!

I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Meet Barbara Yager, the first of three Baba Yagas, and her dog (well, sort of, when he's not a dragon), Chudo-Yudo. And yes, that's the front of her classic BMW motorcycle you can see in the bottom right corner. Berkley did a FABULOUS job, and I couldn't be happier.

So tell me, what do you think? Do you like it? Would you buy a book with this cover?

Deborah, who is over the moon.

    1. One of the reasons I love this cover SO much is that it really does capture Barbara's attitude. My editor Leis was worried that she looked evil, but I think she just looks, well, Wickedly Dangerous.

    1. Yeah, she's not a wicked witch, exactly...but she's not exactly Glinda the Good either :-) You definitely don't want to get her mad...

  3. Oh. So. Cool!!!! She doesn't look evil: she looks sexy and seductive and powerful! If I didn't know it was your book, I would buy it for the cover alone! And I love Chudo-Yugo. That really solidifies my vision of him.

  4. The cover looks fantastic! I love her look, not evil, just impish. She knows something you don't know! (imagine that in a sing song voice) Also, the "dog" looks great!

    1. Since she's on the front cover of the newest Llewellyn book, she's willing to forgive it. For now.

  11. Looking forward to reading this! Love the cover. Is this YA or NA? Either way, I will buy.

    1. Neither, Debbie--it's being marketed as Paranormal Romance (full-on actual adult, not new adult LOL) although I like to think of it as a modern fairy tale.

  12. That is a fantastic cover! She doesn't look evil, she just looks like someone you wouldn't want to mess with. :) It definitely makes me want to buy it, but as a reader, if I saw this in a store, I would say, "What is a Baba Yaga?" and read the blurb, looking for an explanation. So I hope it will give some clues there. :)

  14. It's wonderful! I cannot wait to read it, Deborah -- I am SO excited about the Baba Yaga trilogy, so thrilled for you after all your hard work getting here, and -- just, YAY. :o) Will we be able to buy it in traditional format as well as via Kindle?

  15. If I had never heard of you the cover would make me pick it up and open it for the dog alone. I've been waiting with interest for the Baba Yaga trilogy to come out, because I don't think I've seen any modernization of that story. Modern retellings of it, yes, but not in a modern setting, and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
